How to say “covered” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَجَاءَت عنكبوت فحازت وَجه الْغَار
And a spider came and covered the mouth of the cave.
فَحَازَتْ — so she covered. 'Fa-' (so) plus a past-tense verb 'took possession of / closed over' with the feminine '-at' agreeing with the spider. The 'fa-' threads the next act: it spanned the opening.
