Arabic vocabulary
How to say “creation” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَلَوْ كَانَتْ إِضَافَتُهُ إِلَيْهِ إِضَافَةَ إِنْشَاءِ وَابْتِدَاءٍ لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولًا،
And if it were attributed to him as origination and initiation, he would not be a messenger.
إِنْشَاءِ — origination. This is the owner-noun completing 'attribution of origination', so it takes the genitive ending that the possessive pair imposes. Naming a verbal idea as a noun, the 'act of originating', lets Arabic treat a whole concept as the single thing being possessed.
