How to say “crows” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
غُرْبَانُ الْبَيْنِ فَقَامَتْ تَنْدُبُ الْآثَارَ
The crows of separation rose up and lamented the ruins.
غربان — crows. A noun 'crows' heading a possessive link with the next word — 'crows of ...' — placed directly before its owner with no separate 'of'. As the owned head it drops its own 'the' and takes definiteness from what follows. The plural is an irregular reshaped form. It opens the image of the birds of parting.
