Arabic vocabulary
How to say “depart” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَيَرْحَلُ مِنْ عِنْدَهُمَا سَحَرًا،
He then departs from their place at dawn.
فَيَرْحَلُ — so he departs. The verb carries a 'he' inside it, so no separate subject word is needed; it is present-tense and pictures a repeated, habitual departing. The fa- on the front chains this action onto the previous one as the next thing he does, giving a 'and so then' flow rather than just listing events.
