Arabic vocabulary
How to say “described it” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَقَالَ شُعَيْبُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ فَرَفَصَهُ رَمْرَمَةً، أَوْ زَمْزَمَةً
And Shu'ayb, in his narration, described it as ramramah or zamzamah.
فَرَفَصَهُ — so described it. A past-tense verb with its 'he' subject built in, fronted by fa- and ending in an attached 'it' pronoun as its object. The fa- threads the report along, while the suffix supplies what was acted on, so one word bundles connector, verb, subject and object.
