Arabic vocabulary
How to say “devout worship” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَيَتَحَنَّثُ فِيهِ ـ قَالَ وَالْتَّحَنُّثُ التَّعَبُّدُ ـ
So he practices devotional seclusion in it, and he said that devotional seclusion is devout worship.
التَّعَبُّدُ — the devout worship. This noun carries the 'the' marker and stands as the equating word in the definition: it is what the seclusion-term is being said to mean. So the two definite nouns are set as 'X is Y', a bare equation with no linking verb, which Arabic forms simply by placing them together.
