  وَالتَّأْدِيبِ — and discipline. The leading wa- adds this noun as a second item alongside the previous one, both being means of the same benefiting. Because it is coordinated onto a noun governed by bi-, it inherits the same (genitive) ending and 'by way of' sense without repeating the preposition.
