How to say “division” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَعْدِلْ فِي قِسْمَتِهَا فَيَأْثَمُ
that he did not act fairly in dividing it, and so he commits a sin
قِسْمَتِهَا — division of it. A noun sealed off by the attached '-ha', a possessor fixed to its tail where English keeps a separate word. The suffix points back to the thing being shared out, so reading the line means tracing what 'its' is anchored to, not just decoding the word.
