How to say “equipment” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَتْ فَجَهَّزْنَاهُمَا أَحَثَّ الْجِهَازِ،
She said, so we equipped them with the most complete equipment.
الْجِهَازِ — the equipment. A noun made specific by al-, 'the equipment', as the owning half of 'the most thorough OF the equipment'; it closes that pair and so takes the genitive (the tail kasra). The chain expresses a superlative, 'the very best of the provisioning'.
