إِذا لَاحَ للباشق الصَّيْد نسي مألوف الْكَفّ
When the falcon catches sight of the prey, it forgets the hand it knows.
مَأْلُوفَ — the familiar perch. A passive participle 'the accustomed / familiar thing', the object of 'forgot', accusative ('-a'), and first term of an 'of' pairing — 'the familiar of the hand'. It owns the noun that follows.
