How to say “fed / gave to eat” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَأَكَلَتْ حَوَّاءُ عَنْ قَوْلِهَا وَأَطْعَمَتْ آدَمَ،
Eve ate because of the serpent's words, and she fed Adam.
وَأَطْعَمَتْ — and she fed. 'Wa-' adds a second action by the same subject. The verb is past in a causative pattern 'caused to eat / fed' and carries its 'she' subject in its feminine ending: 'and she fed', leading to Adam as its object.
