Arabic vocabulary
How to say “for days” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَإِنْصَرَفْتُ مُغْضَبًا وَلَمْ أَدْخُلْ إِلَيْهِ أَيَّامًا،
So I left angrily and did not go to him for days.
أَيَّامًا — for days. A plural noun used in the accusative to mark a stretch of time, telling for how long the staying-away lasted. Arabic uses such an accusative to express duration where English adds 'for'. It modifies the verb's time-span, not any noun.
