Arabic vocabulary
How to say “for them” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
رَأَيْنَا لَهُنَّ بِذَلِكَ عَلَيْنَا حَقًّا،
We considered that for them, by that, a right upon us.
لَهُنَّ — for them. A 'for/to' preposition with a feminine-plural 'them' attached, pointing back to the women; it marks them as the ones in whose favour the right is recognised. The preposition keeps that 'them' in the 'of' ending.
