Arabic vocabulary
How to say “garden” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وأقلع شجر بستانها وتعطلت المروز،
Her garden trees were uprooted, and the streams were dried up.
بُسْتَانِهَا — of her garden. The owning half of 'trees of her garden', in the genitive because it completes the possessive pairing, and carrying an attached 'her' that points back to Sarah. So the suffix tracks the owner, and the ending and order carry the 'of' with no separate word.
