How to say “grant me” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ أَمْهِلْنِي يَوْمَيْ هَذَا
He said, "Grant me these two days."
أَمْهِلْنِي — grant me. A command form, 'grant!', with the object pronoun '-ni' (me) on its end. The verb holds its 'you' subject inside and the cushioning '-ni' supplies 'me' as the one to be granted the favour. One word thus carries the order and its 'me' object together.
