How to say “happen” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
إِنَّهُ قَدْ حَدَثَ أَمْرٌ
Indeed, something has happened.
حَدَثَ — it happened. A past verb 'happened' with the single-thing subject built in; with 'just now' before it the English is 'has happened'. Its true doer, the 'matter', comes right after.
