Arabic vocabulary
How to say “have intercourse” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ إِذَا غَشِيَ الْمَرْأَةَ
If a man has intercourse with a woman.
غَشِيَ — he had intercourse. A past verb carrying its 'he' subject, here the verb the condition-particle governs, so it reads as the case being supposed. Its past shape after the conditional marks a hypothetical-yet-vivid 'should he do this', setting the trigger for the result.
