Arabic vocabulary
ذَنْبِهِ is how you say “his sin” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
عَبْدٌ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ
A servant for whom what preceded of his sin was forgiven.
ذَنْبِهِ — his sin. A noun with -hi ('his') fused on, 'his sin', in the 'of' form because the part-of preposition before it governs it. Though singular, it reads collectively for his wrongdoing. The possessor ties the sin to the servant, completing 'of his sin' as the pool the forgiveness covers.
