Arabic vocabulary
How to say “his sons” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَمَثَلِي وَمَثَلُكُمْ كَمَثَلِ يَعْقُوبَ وَبَنِيهِ،
My example and your example are like the example of Jacob and his sons.
وَبَنِيهِ — and his sons. The connector wa- adds a second owner to the chain, and the noun carries -hi, the 'his' pronoun pointing back to Jacob. So 'and his sons' extends the possessive run, with the suffix tracking ownership back to the name just mentioned rather than to anyone nearer.
