Arabic vocabulary
How to say “your example” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَمَثَلِي وَمَثَلُكُمْ كَمَثَلِ يَعْقُوبَ وَبَنِيهِ،
My example and your example are like the example of Jacob and his sons.
وَمَثَلُكُمْ — and your example. Plain wa- 'and' joining the second member of the contrast to the first, on a noun ending in -kum, the plural 'your'. Pairing 'my example and your example' this way sets the two sides side by side before the likeness to Jacob is drawn.
