فَصَدَّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِبْلِيسُ ظَنُّهُ فَاتَّبَعُوهُ
So Satan's suspicion about them proved true, and they followed him.
ظَنُّهُ — his suspicion. A noun 'suspicion/expectation' with a 'his' pronoun fused on, 'his suspicion', the attached pronoun pointing back to the just-named figure. It is the actual thing that proved true, the grammatical subject of the proving. It forms an 'of'-style possession with that name.
