Arabic vocabulary
How to say “I add” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَزِيدُكَ فِي هَذَا بَيَانًا مِثْلَ سَاعَةِ الْمَوْتِ،
And I add for you in this a clarification: for example, the moment of death.
وَأَزِيدُكَ — and I add for you. Two pieces: the connector wa- ('and') and a present-tense verb with the suffix '-ka' ('for you') fused on. The verb's 'I' subject is built into its prefix, so 'and I add for you' is one word, with doer and beneficiary both attached to the verb.
