Arabic vocabulary
How to say “I came to him” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ اسْتَأْذِنْ لِي فَدَخَلْتُ
So I came to him and said, 'Ask permission for me,' and then I entered.
فَأَتَيْتُهُ — so I came to him. A chaining fa- ('and so') on a past 'I came to' with '-tu' for 'I' and a single 'him' object fused on the end; one word carries the sequence-link, doer, action, and the one come-to.
