Arabic vocabulary
How to say “I leave him” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَأَدْعُهُ فَرُبَّمَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ
So I leave him; perhaps that was until morning.
فَأَدْعُهُ — so I leave him. Three parts in one word: the connector fa- ('so'), the present verb 'I leave/let', and the object -hu ('him') on the end. The fa- ties this consequence to the prior clause, and the -hu points back to the son, the person being left alone. Arabic stacks connector, verb, and object into a single written unit here.
