Arabic vocabulary
How to say “I mistreat” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأُؤْذِيها، وَأَصْرِفُ وَجْهِي عَنْهَا،
I mistreat her, and I turn my face away from her.
وَأَوْضِئُهَا — and I mistreat her. The front wa- continues the man's confession, and the verb under it is a present-shape 'I harm / mistreat' with the 'I' subject built in and the 'her' object suffixed on. So one word holds link, first-person verb, and object. The present form marks this as his ongoing habitual treatment of her.
