Arabic vocabulary
How to say “I reflected” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَتَفَكَّرْتُ فَرَأَيْتُ كَثِيرًا مِنَ النَّاسِ فِي وُجُودِهِمْ كَالْعَدَمِ،
I reflected and saw that many people, in their existence, are like nothingness.
فتفكَّرْتُ — so I reflected. A past-tense verb with the '-tu' ending folded in as its 'I' subject, so the speaker is built into the word. The fronted 'fa-' is a narrative 'and so', stitching this reflection to the previous line as the next beat of a first-person account rather than coordinating two equal items.
