Arabic vocabulary
How to say “I will set” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
لَأَقْعُدَنَّ لَهُمْ صِرَاطَكَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ
I will set your straight path before them.
لَأَقْعُدَنَّ — I will set. This packs an oath-emphasis 'la-' onto a verb that also carries the heavy '-nna' ending, a combination that turns the statement into a solemn vow: 'I shall most surely...'. The 'I' subject is built into the verb, so the one word is a charged first-person pledge, far stronger than a plain future.
