How to say “in faith” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَأَخْشَوْهُمْ فَزَادَهُمْ إِيمَانًا
So they feared them, and it increased their faith.
إِيمَانًا — faith. An indefinite noun in the object-style ending, here used to specify in WHAT respect they were increased: in faith. This 'specifying' object answers 'increased them by how much / in what', a typical Arabic way to pin down the area of a vague verb. It completes 'increased them in faith'.
