Arabic vocabulary
How to say “they feared them” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَأَخْشَوْهُمْ فَزَادَهُمْ إِيمَانًا
So they feared them, and it increased their faith.
فَأَخْشَوْهُمْ — so they feared them. This token fronts a 'so/then' connector showing result, attached to a past-tense verb with a 'them' object pronoun fused at the end. The 'so' links this reaction to the warning before it; one word thus carries connector, verb, and object together. The 'they' subject lives inside the verb form.
