Arabic vocabulary
How to say “it increased them” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَأَخْشَوْهُمْ فَزَادَهُمْ إِيمَانًا
So they feared them, and it increased their faith.
فَزَادَهُمْ — so it increased them. Again a result 'so/then' fused to a past verb with a 'them' object pronoun, but here the function differs: this 'so' marks a consequence flowing the opposite way, the fear unexpectedly increasing faith. The verb means 'it increased them' and pairs with the next word naming what increased. One word packs connector, verb, and object.
