How to say “loins of” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَنت فِي صلب أَبِيك
And you were in the loins of your father.
صُلْبِ — loins. 'Backbone / loins', first term of an 'of' pairing — 'the loins of your father' — genitive after 'in'. It owns the noun that follows.
From: Remembering and Loving God →يحسب ابن آدم أكلات يقمن صلبه،
A human needs only a few bites that sustain his spine.
صُلْبَهُ — his spine. This is 'his back/spine', the object of the verb, its object ending marking it as what is held up, with the attached 'his' pointing to the human. The bites are what keep that back standing.
