How to say “morning” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
ثُمَّ شَاهَدَنَا صَبِيحَةَ يَوْمِ السَّبْتِ
Then he saw us on Saturday morning.
ثم شاهدنا صبيحة يوم السبت — morning. A time noun, 'morning', in the object-style case used adverbially to pin down when the seeing happened. Arabic marks such time-when expressions with that accusative ending rather than a preposition. It also heads a possessive pairing with 'day' that follows.
