How to say “saw” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
ثُمَّ شَاهَدَنَا صَبِيحَةَ يَوْمِ السَّبْتِ
Then he saw us on Saturday morning.
ثم شاهدنا صبيحة يوم السبت — he saw us. A past-tense verb 'saw' with the object pronoun 'us' suffixed on the end, so the single word holds the action and its object together. The 'he' subject is built into the verb form. It reports a completed act of seeing aimed at the speaker's group.
