How to say “my camel” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَأَبْطَأَ بِي جِمَالِيُ وَأَعْيَا،
Then my camel slowed down and became exhausted.
جِمَالِيُ — my camel. This noun ends in an attached -i/-ya that marks 'my', so the possessor is fused right onto the word rather than written separately. It is the doer of the verb 'slowed', naming whose camel it was that lagged.
