Preservation occurs on three levels: necessities that life cannot go on without,
الضَّرورِيّاتِ — necessities. An abstract plural with the '-iyyat' ending — 'the necessities,' the bare essentials. Standing in apposition to 'three levels' as the first grade. The relative clause next defines them: what life cannot stand without.
