Arabic vocabulary
How to say “partner” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
الحمد لله المتفرد بالملك ولا شريك،
Praise be to Allah, the One who possesses sovereignty with no partner.
شَرِيكَ — partner. After this kind of absolute 'no', the following noun takes a special object-style ending to deny the whole class of the thing: 'no partner whatsoever'. The shape marks a sweeping denial that any partner of any kind exists.
