Arabic vocabulary
مَنْزِلَتِهِ is how you say “position his” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
أَوْ نَالَ الْقَضَاءَ فَسَعَى فِي حِفْظِ مَنْزِلَتِهِ،
Or he attained the judgeship and strove to preserve his position,
مَنْزِلَتِهِ — his position. A noun closed by '-hi' (his), the owning half of the 'of' pairing with the possessor glued to its tail. The suffix points back to the man just described, so 'his position' is what he strove to keep, the owner the preserving belongs to.
