Arabic vocabulary
How to say “private supplication” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَمَنْ خُفِّيَ عُقُوبَاتُهُمْ سَلْبُ حَلَاوَةِ الْمُنَاجَاةِ،
And among their hidden punishments is the deprivation of the sweetness of private supplication.
الْمُنَاجَاةِ — the private supplication. The al- marks this devotional term as definite, and as the closing link of the possessive chain it carries the 'of' (genitive) ending. It identifies precisely what the sweetness belongs to, the intimate private supplication being lost.
