How to say “rainy” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
مُظْلِمَةٍ مَطِرَةٍ وَقَدْ نَزَلَ أَبُو سُفْيَانُ
It was a dark, rainy night, and Abu Sufyan had arrived.
مطيرة — rainy. A third stacked adjective on the night, once more feminine singular to match. Arabic lets several adjectives sit in a row describing one noun, so cold, dark and rainy all land on the same word with no connector needed. The shared feminine ending is what binds all three to a single night.
