And if he sins, then upon him is to seek forgiveness and repent.
وَيَتُوبَ — and repent. A linking 'and' bound to a second present verb 'repent', running parallel to the previous verb and likewise in the subjunctive shape carried over from the same 'to' trigger. The 'and' simply yokes the two required acts together.
