How to say “repository” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
ألم نَجعَلُ الأرضَ كِفاتا، أحياءً وأمواتا
Have We not made the earth a repository, for the living and the dead?
كِفَاتًا — a repository. This noun is the second object of 'made', what the earth was turned into, in the accusative as that result, and indefinite to introduce the new role, 'a gatherer / container'. So its case marks the outcome of the appointing, completing 'made the earth a container'.
