Arabic vocabulary
How to say “resolve” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَيُؤَخِّرُ الأُهْبَةَ لِتَحْقِيقِ التَّوْبَةِ،
And he delays the resolve to repent,
الأُهْبَةَ — the resolve. The al- marks this rare classical noun as definite, and it takes the object (accusative) ending because it is what the verb 'delays' acts upon. Its ending flags it as the direct object, the resolve that keeps getting postponed.
