Arabic vocabulary
How to say “resulting” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَكَانَ الْعَمَلُ وَالْمُصِيبَةُ الْمُتَرَتِّبَةُ عَلَيْهِ مُقَدَّرًا
So the deed and the calamity resulting from it were decreed.
الْمُتَرَتِّبَةُ — the resulting. An adjective describing the calamity as 'resulting/consequent', and it matches that noun in being definite and feminine. Arabic adjectives trail their noun and copy its definiteness and gender, so the agreement is what ties this description to the right noun.
