بِقَاعِدَةٍ — of a rule. 'of a rule' — here 'bi' is what 'remind' governs (remind OF); indefinite genitive.

until she took hold of Aisha while she was sitting,
قَاعِدَةٌ — sitting. An active participle: a describing word built from a verb that names someone in the ongoing state of doing it, here 'being seated'. It works adjective-like to describe her condition during the main action, and Arabic forms it by reshaping the verb's letters rather than adding a separate '-ing' helper.
