How to say “so I let” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
يَنْفَعُنِي اللَّهُ بِهَا، فَخَلَّيْتُ سَبِيلَهُ
May Allah make it beneficial for me, so I let him go.
فَخَلَّيْتُ — so I let. The fa- on the front signals consequence, marking this as the result that follows from the wish before it. Glued to a past-tense verb that already carries its 'I' subject, the whole word reads as 'so I let', the prefix supplying the logical 'therefore'.
