How to say “Spirit” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
يَا رُوْحُ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ تُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى؟
O Spirit of God, do you bring the dead back to life?
رُوْحُ — Spirit. This noun is the head of an ownership pair with the name after it, so it carries no 'the' of its own and takes its definiteness from the following word. Being the one addressed by the call-particle, it stands in the basic (nominative) shape. The two words form one title, 'Spirit of God'.
