Arabic vocabulary
How to say “submission” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَيَظُنُّونَ الاِسْتِسْلامَ لِذَلِكَ وَمُوَافَقَتَهُ وَالرِّضَا بِهِ
So they suppose submission to that, and agreement with it, and satisfaction with it.
الَاِسْتِسْلامَ — the submission. The al- makes this 'the submission' specific, and it serves as the direct object of 'suppose', so it takes the accusative ending. It names the first of the things they wrongly equate, receiving the verb's action as the supposed content.
