Arabic vocabulary
How to say “submitting myself” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
كَانَ لِي إِلَيْهِ ذَنْبٌ فَدَخَلْتُ مُسْلِمًا عَلَيْهِ،
I had an offense to him, so I entered submitting myself to him.
مُسْلِمًا — submitting myself. A describing word in the accusative used to paint the manner of the entering, telling HOW he came in: submissively. Arabic uses such an accusative side-description where English adds '-ly' or a phrase. It modifies the act of entering, not any noun.
