How to say “sweetness of” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَلاَ أَقُولُ كَيْفَ تَغَلُّبِ حَلَاوَةٍ اللَّذَّاتِ؟
Nor will I say, "How did the sweetness of pleasures prevail?!"
حَلَاوَةٍ — sweetness of. A noun ('sweetness') that is the owned half of 'the prevailing OF sweetness', and itself heads a further 'of' pairing with the next word, so it forms a chain: sweetness owns 'the pleasures'. It sits in the genitive as the possessor in the first link.
