Arabic vocabulary
How to say “teach orally” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَشَافَهُ بِتَصْنِيفِي خَلْقًا لَا يَحْصُونَ مَا خَلَقُوا بَعْدُ،
And by my written works I taught orally a multitude so vast that they cannot count what they later produced.
وَأَشَافَهُ — and I taught orally. This joins a linking 'and' to an uncommon verb of oral instruction, with the 'he/I' subject carried inside the verb. The 'and' here continues the list of the speaker's activities, extending the previous sentence's point about teaching.
